Cassper Nyovest shares special memories with his ill Grandma

To his Africa and abroad, Cassper Nyovest is hardcore Rapper and Bae, but to his Grandma he’ll always be her little man.

Heavyweight rapper, Cassper Nyovest took time off his schedule to visit his Gran, who suffered a stroke recently and shared this with his fans.

“Came to see Grandma this weekend. She’s been heavily ill. She lost her speech after getting a stroke and I miss the way she used to tell me the same stories about me growing up and how naughty I was. I would act like it’s the first time she tells me the story. Eish, Magogo.”

Refiloe Maele Phoolo professionally known as Cassper Nyovest is a South African recording artist and record producer. The young dreamer after failing his 10th Grade exams at 16, dropped out of school to pursue his dreams.

After years of hard work with little to no reward, Nyovest was picked by Motswako’s rapper HHP who was impressed by his talent at a performance.

HHP then featured Nyovest on his track “Wama Tseba Mtho” and Nyovest embarked on international tours with HHP where he gained exposure as an artist.

Today, Cassper Nyovest has three albums to his name; “Tsholofelo” (2014), “Refiloe” (2015) and “Thuto” (2017).

The heavyweight rapper has also had notable collaborations with artists like Wizkid, Davido, Casey Veggies, DJ Drama, Anatii, ace producer Ganja Beatz, Talib Kweli and more.

In November 2015, Nyovest was named Hottest MC in South Africa by MTV Base Round Table experts, beating his long-time rival AKA. His rise to fame has been amazing and earned several accolades.

While we not so patiently await his Glam Africa Magazine cover, our prayers are with the beloved rap champion and his gran.
