Family Tree’s CEO and champion rapper, Cassper Nyovest is on the second cover of Glam Magazine’s “Africa Rising” July – September Issue.
Refiloe Maele Phoolo professionally known as Cassper Nyovest is a South African recording artist and record producer. The young dreamer after failing his 10th Grade exams at 16, dropped out of school to pursue his dreams.
After years of hard work with little to no reward, Nyovest was picked up by Motswako’s rapper HHP who was impressed by his talent at a performance. HHP then featured Nyovest on his track “Wama Tseba Mtho” and Nyovest embarked on international tours with HHP where he gained exposure as an artist.
Today, Cassper Nyovest has three albums to his name: “Tsholofelo” (2014), “Refiloe” (2015) and “Thuto” (2017). The heavyweight rapper has also had notable collaborations with artists like Wizkid, Davido, Casey Veggies, DJ Drama, Anatii, ace producer Ganja Beatz, Talib Kweli and more.
In November 2015, Nyovest was named Hottest MC in South Africa by MTV Base Round Table experts, beating his long-time rival, AKA. Nyovest’s rise to fame has been amazing and has earned him several accolades. It is no surprise that Glam Africa wants him.
